I’m not just looking for clients. I’m looking for leaders who want to be intentional, systemic and practical. I work to form partnerships that align my skills with your needs, with clear, realistic parameters around goals, resources, alignment with other initiatives, and time frames.
I founded Differentiated Coaching Associates to increase leadership effectiveness. That includes business leaders, education leaders, and teachers, every one of whom is a leader in his or her classroom.
I work as a consultant, specializing in teambuilding, leadership coaching, and school staff development. I am also the coauthor of over 20 books, including Intentional Leadership, Differentiated Coaching: A Framework for Helping Teachers Change, LifeKeys and Work it Out. I hold an MBA in finance from the Carlson School of Management and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of St. Thomas.
I’ve had the great privilege of working with organizations across North America and in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and Saudi Arabia. My clients include Minneapolis Public Schools and various public and private schools, The Bush Foundation, Twin Cities Public Television, and numerous other institutions. I am a frequent workshop speaker and have presented at Learning Forward, ASCD, NCTM, World Futures, and APT International conferences.
Since 1998, I’ve been a faculty member of the Center for Applications of Psychological Type. I served as President of the Association for Psychological Type International. In 2011, I received the Gordon Lawrence Educational Achievement Award, and in 2005, the Isabel Briggs Myers Award for Outstanding Research in the Field of Psychological Type.
